Luiz Fernando Benedini

Brazilian pianist, Luiz Fernando Benedini, one of the country's most outstanding pianists was introduced to music at a very young age and before long had embarked on a brilliant musical career whereby he was coached by such notable teachers like Lili Kraus of the United States and compratiot and well-known pianist Jacques Klein.

Benedini's concert engagements have taken him to some of the most distinguished venues in Europe, Japan and the United States where he was received enthusiastically by the public and critics alike. His versatility as a chamber musician has led to many colloborations with other high calibre musicians such as himself, namely pianists Nelson Freire, Nicolas Economou and violist Marie Christine Springuel.

Benedini's concert programme in Cyprus is as follows:

  • Chopin's Nocturne No. 16 in E Flat major Op. 55, No. 2 and Piano Sonata No. 3 in B minor, Op. 58
  • Liszt's Mephisto Waltz and Valse Impromptu in A flat Major
  • Villa-Lobos' As Tres Marias and A Prole do Bebe, Suite No. 1, and
  • Suite Bergamasque by Debussy.
