Born in Spain, soprano Carmen Serrano studied singing at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica of Cordoba under the direction of Professor Carlos Hacar, culminating her studies at the Academia d’Arte Lirico e Corale of Osimo, Italy, and at the Musica Espanola Course in Santiago de Compostela under Ana Higueras. Carmen Serrano has had an intense concert activity since 1987, touring around Spain, Europe, North and South America and the Far East. She made her operatic debut in 1992 performing La Favorita at the Teatro Maestranza of Seville. Her operatic participations include Orfeo ed Euridice, Il Barbiere de Siviglia; Dona Francisquita; L‘Isola Disabitata, Cosi fan tutte, La Boheme and L’Isola di Merlino. Pianist Antonio Lopez Serrano was born in Spain and began his studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica of Cordoba under Carmen Flores, continuing his training under the guidance of masters like Dimitri Bashkirov, Christopher Elton, Maria Curcio, Rafael Quero and Rafael Orozco. He has received numerous national and private awards, such as the Manuel de Falla Award of the University of Granada Spain. In the last twenty years, Antonio Lopez Serrano has specialised in accompanying opera and classical singers, appearing in numerous concerts throughout Europe, America and Asia. |
