| In the years since Arnaldo Cohen came to the attention of the critics and public, the Brazilian-born pianist has enjoyed an increasingly successful career, which has taken him to the world's greatest concert halls. He has played with many leading conductors including Kurt Massur and Yehudi Menuhin. Mr. Cohen started his musical studies at the age of five, graduating from the Federal University of Rio with an honours degree in piano and violin. After studying with Jacques Klein, Bruno Seidhofer and Dieter Weber, Arnaldo Cohen was awarded First Prize in the 1972 Busoni International Competition in Italy. He made Europe his permanent home after a concert at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and has become a prominent figure in the European music world. Apart from solo appearances, he has performed with the Lindsay Quartet, Chilingirian Quartet, Orlando Quartet and Vanbrugh Quartet. His London Wigmore Hall recitals have attracted outstanding reviews as have his many appearances throughout the world. |
