17-year-old Qian Wu left Shanghai in 1997 and arrived in England with a scholarship from the Menuhin School. She recently won the Tunbridge Wells International Young Artist Competition and has held several recitals in Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, St John's Smith Square and Steinway Hall, amongst others.
