In association with the Russian Embassy, the Pharos Trust organized a recital of Opera Arias with Oxana, a rising star at the Bolshoi Opera. The musical programme included works by Handel, Pergolesi, Mozart, Bellini, Puccini and Verdi. Oxana Lomova's natural gift for the stage, has ensured greater international attention in recent years, with guest soloist appearances in the United States, Great Britain, Germany and South Korea. She made her stage debut in 1997 in the role of Brigitta in Tchaikovsky's opera Iolanta with the Bolshoi Opera. Since then, she has sung in numerous roles with the Bolshoi Opera. Since 1997, Evgenia Cheglakova has worked at the Bolshoi Theatre where her repertoire comprises more than eighty operas by Russian, Italian, German and French composers. She also gives concerts, both in Russia and abroad, with soloists from the Bolshoi, instrumentalists and chamber ensembles.
