The Pharos Trust will be organizing and sponsoring the Armenian Pavilion at the 25th International Sao Paolo Biennale opening in March. Artist Azat Sargsyan, will be presenting a three-part performance entitled "Azatpolitanas" through a video/installation.

Azat Sargsyan was born in Yerevan Armenia in 1965 and has showed his work through solo and group exhibitions. Since 1997 he has participated with works at the Venice Biennale, the Uppsala International Biennale and the Modern Art Museum in Sweden, as well as in Berlin, while some of his works are permanently displayed in the Armenian National Gallery of Yerevan. Azat Sargsyan's three part work entitled "Azatapolitianas" is a call to search for the Twelfth City within ourselves and as the artist states, "with and iconography of a personal metropolitan".
