Alessio Bax. Piano Recital.
First prize winner in the universally acknowledged Leeds International Pianoforte Competition in September 2000, Alessio Bax is already established as an accomplished performer throughout the world. His winning performance in Leeds of Brahms Piano Concerto no. 1 with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra conducted by Sir Simon Rattle touched audience and jury alike. Since winning Leeds, Bax has performed in a recital in London’s International Piano Series (Queen Elizabeth Hall) as well as in Hanover, Munich (Herkulessaal), Paris, Tokyo (Kioi Hall) and with Houston Symphony, the Dallas Symphony, the London Philharmonic, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. The programme includes works by Bach, Bartok, Kreisler/Rachmaninov and Ravel.
